Il Corso VMware NSX: Troubleshooting and Operations [V4.x] è un percorso avanzato progettato per fornire ai partecipanti le competenze pratiche e teoriche necessarie per operare e risolvere problemi all’interno di un’infrastruttura VMware NSX. Pensato per system administrator e network/security engineer con esperienza, il corso si concentra su strumenti operativi nativi e integrati (come VMware Aria Operations for Logs e VMware Aria Operations for Networks), affrontando in modo sistematico casi reali e scenari complessi di troubleshooting. Durante il corso vengono approfonditi i flussi di comunicazione tra i componenti principali dell’architettura NSX, inclusi il management cluster, i transport node e le NSX Edge. I partecipanti saranno in grado di individuare e risolvere problemi relativi ai livelli control plane, data plane e management plane, nonché alle funzionalità di switching logico (logical switching), routing logico (logical routing), firewall distribuiti e gateway firewall (L4-L7), IDS/IPS distribuiti, VPN (IPSec, L2) e NSX Advanced Load Balancer. Saranno inoltre analizzati in dettaglio i flussi del datapath NSX e i metodi per effettuare packet capture nei vari punti del percorso, con utilizzo di comandi CLI e strumenti diagnostici avanzati su hypervisor VMware ESXi. Il corso contribuisce alla preparazione dell’esame di Certificazione VMware Certified Professional Network Virtualization 2025 (VCP-NV 2025).

Datapath Walkthrough

• Verify and validate the path of the packet on the NSX datapath

• Use NSX CLI and native hypervisor commands to retrieve configurations involved in the NSX datapath
